Once again

...I'm stuck in the middle of a month of blog-posting without a lot to write about.

Hm, our sales meeting is next week. Fun, but nothing great to write about. I guess the only entertaining thing about that, is that all the guys start talking about what they're gonna wear, because no one can fit in the size medium lifestyle apparel samples. It's funny to hear a bunch of 50-something guys talking about clothes.

The economy appears to be pretty much flushable, but the entire world is writing about that. I did manage to find a pair of nice jeans at 30% off, and they're a brand that never goes on sale. Got 'em because I am exploding out of the identical pair in my normal size. I blame that on 7 weeks of kitchen-remodel take-out, not my complete lack of physical endeavor.

My beau is at the Patriots/Jets game with his company tonight. Well, THAT'S kinda funny, 'cause he's a Dolphins fan, and everyone else he went with is pulling for the Jets. How come we both get tix to sporting events now, but never during baseball season?!

I am currently surrounded by much kittiness, which is cool. One is upside-down, paws-up and snoozing, and the other one just farted, curled up into a ball, and fell asleep. I will be imitating them soon, minus the stinkiness!

Oh, and I found an old Footlocker friend on LinkedIn today. That was cool.

OK, I'm gonna go back to posting some pics from this year tomorrow! :-)

There's nothing wrong with curling up this time of year, especially with the holiday onslaught immediately ahead!

You could probably get baseball tickets here...

By next year you'll be able to get football ones too!

Finally, almost two weeks since we got back I finally have time to write about this! Sheesh, it's been nuts at work, got a new sales manager and had to work like a beast of burden to get him set up and up to speed, but am very excited! Anyway, Hawaii! Telecommuting, and vacation plans

Telecommuting is awesome. The biggest upside to our company being bought 2 1/2 yrs ago is the ability to work from home. I don't abuse it and always get a lot more work done (no interruptions) and it's great for big projects. So, with yesterday's 9 incher, that's what I did. Randy works in downtown Boston and they said, hey, if you're not essential, don't come in. He didn't have brain surgery scheduled and neither did I (he's a regional VP and I'm a sales analyst), so we stayed home and did what we needed to get done. I always feel a little guilty or "weather-wimpy" in storms, but then I think, most employees at my corporation are women, most of them are moms, and most of them stayed home because it was a snow day. Why should I make myself a road hazard, driving like I'm 80, stressing out for over an hour both ways (usually 35 minutes) after spending forever digging the car out from my street space because of the plows, and bein

Never a dull moment!

My mom was planning to make a life-long dream come true tomorrow. She's been planning this trip to Egypt on a jealousy-inducing 18-day tour for months now. Starting out in Cairo, and heading down the Nile on a cruise boat for several days. The trip features camel rides (can NOT imagine her on a camel...she can't even deal with cat hair), falukah rides (whatever that is), flights to Abu Simbal, Pyramids, Luxor, temples, Valley of the Kings, all sorts of Moses stuff, ancient tombs, King Tut's mummy now that it's open for public viewing for the first time in history, museums, bazaars, handsome Egyptian men and smelly ones too, sand, lots of sand, more sand, sand, sand, and all sorts of other cool stuff.
