List of Problems solved by MacGyver

OK I just totally ripped this off from my friend Chris but I felt it must be posted and I didn't see it on his blog today. Reading it makes me think our presidential nominees could get a little more creative and definitely more specific in their proposed solutions to the countries problems, but I digress. Click here: List of Problems solved by MacGyver (Thanks, Chris. Sorry I ripped off your idea)

In light of the excitement of the presidential race and the Olympics....

...I decided to post nothing about either one. Instead, I want to write about how I got 4 pairs of sandals valued at $315 for $83.96 today. Making a good deal even better: a few months ago I overpaid my Macy's bill by $81 so today I spent $2.96. Just doin' my part to improve the economy.

Talk about out of touch

I don't think I could vote for someone who can't remember how many homes he or she owns.

I hope my mom got my email today

I sure hope my mom gets the link I sent her today for the view from our seats at the Jimmy Buffett show on Thursday, Sept 4 at the Comcast Center. I got tickets online at face value after shopping around for weeks. They're good ones too. They must have just released some extra seats, 'cause they were showing as sold out. Shopped online and checked out craigslist and agencies where they're going for big boo-caj-amalios (to use a Randy word). It's one of her concert dreams to go. Sure hope she can make it. I can't wait to get her reply!

Non-concert, non-grilling, non-Red Sox-related post

I don't know if you remember me complaining about the air traffic over our abode in Somerville, ever since the new runway opened at Logan, but check this article out ... the city might sue the FAA and Massport in response to all the noise and air traffic. My favorite part of the article: Richard Walsh, spokesman for Massport, said the use of Runway 33L is up to the FAA, but is often determined by weather, specifically wind conditions; however, Champion disagrees: “The statistics just don't bear out that the wind patterns have changed so much that they're sending out 300 percent more operations over Somerville than they used to.” PS-Local blog reports that Eric Clapton's yacht is in Boston Harbor tonight .
